THOSE LEFT BEHIND

A few months ago, the unexpected demise of my wife altered our lives. After witnessing the resilience of my daughters, I was inspired to create this body of work. ‘Those Left Behind’ depicts my family in our haven and illustrates how we have adjusted to our new norm. This body of work transports me from sorrow to contentment. It’s a positive distraction. As I recover from a significant loss, the process serves as a therapeutic outlet for me. Each photograph examines and embodies my family’s strength. Through the unique lens of photography, these edits provide a visual representation of the light at the end of the tunnel. The process has been instrumental in my personal rehabilitation process. The mere sight of life, particularly the bonding of my two daughters, gives me hope for those left behind.
